She holds a BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) Honours degree from Karachi University (Visual Studies Department).

She received the Art Commendation Award in 2016 from LadiesFund by Dawood Global Foundation. This recognition was presented by the Governor of Pakistan for her outstanding contributions to the field of Art in Pakistan.
